A magical way
The Torres Way calls for communion with nature and the knowledge of ancient heritage landmarks on this unique Jacobean itinerary.
The diversity of the landscape is one of its greatest attractions, with the plains of Salamanca, the stony lanes of the Portuguese Beira Alta, the chestnut tree farms in Sernancelhe and the apple trees in Tarouca, the vertical terraces of the Alto Douro and the aligned vineyards of Minho.
It is a way of monumental heritage, but it is also an itinerary full of immaterial, legendary and vernacular values, reasons for the historical density of the route.
